Her journey to becoming a family physician began with earning her Medical Degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. She then completed an internship in surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a residency in family medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee.
Dr. Ahmad is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and is an active member of various medical organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians, the Wisconsin Medical Society, and the Wood County Medical Society.
Upon joining Marshfield Clinic Health System, Dr. Ahmad was drawn to the opportunity of serving a rural population at a clinic with an excellent referral system. She values the Clinic’s commitment to utilizing electronic medical records and being part of a large, multi-specialty group practice.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Ahmad enjoys spending her free time reading and traveling.
